Another beautiful day on the island, the sun is out and just a few clouds, the seas have calmed down and the water is clear.  We are making the most of our time with Dashon and Sadie, we explored Rainbow Beach and Limon Beach in Frederiksted on Saturday.  We paddle boarded and swam, the kids played chicken, and had an overall good time.  We finished out the day with tacos on Limon Beach and snorkeling for Chaney. Thanks to Sadie for all these great photos!

Quicksand!

Saturday we took the kids to Shoy's.  Rob will never get enough of that beach I don't think! We did more paddle boarding, there were some waves coming in and the boys experienced quite a few wipeouts trying to catch one.

We finished the day, with all the children, big and small alike, making gingerbread houses.  We ate a nice family meal and hit the sack, two days of fun in the sun and we all sleep like babies!

This morning, being Math Monday, we set to work on learning about Archimedes and Pi.  Yesterday, I bought a hula hoop and it really came in handy for demonstrations.  Christian really enjoyed the lesson, it was a little over Nathaniel's head at first but by the end he was hula hooping away showing us all the parts of a circle and how they relate with Pi.  We rounded out our morning with exploring the literary meaning of quotes from Charles Dickens and Ralph Waldo Emerson.  I loved seeing how in depth the boys thought about and interpreted the meanings.
